Broadcasting
vs Podcasting
The power and benefit of being constantly accessible for
your listener base is of the utmost importance for online broadcasters
– podcasts on the other hand offer a different experience
as they are chunks of information usually consisting of an hour
or so focusing on a specific topic.
We will magnify the differences between the two and look where
both are headed in the future.

Arts
High Instructor Embraces Podcasting to Promote Student Achievement
and Enrich Lessons
As a history teacher at Arts High School, I have the privilege
of working with some of the best, brightest and most academically
and artistically talented students that Newark has to offer.
My students are motivated and extremely busy, and I have a tremendous
amount of material to impart to them. In the past, for any teacher,
this brought on challenges. Last summer I thought very hard
on how I could use ready technology to reach them, to continue
to improve instruction and the transmission of knowledge.

Podcasting
Case Study
My business partner, OG, and I knew that we wanted to
create a podcast from the very beginning. Why? We had done a
local radio show together called Dollars and Sense (well….it
was my show, but he was a frequent guest). He had been a good
guest, always was entertaining, and had a distinct point of
view.
Sadly, we did not know podcasting host platforms such as
Libsyn from Libya. I had no idea how a podcast found its way
onto iTunes or even how the file was recorded. We decided not
to let that stop us, and it should not stop you.

Podcasting
is NOT for Every Business
Podcasting as a business content marketing strategy isn’t
about attracting huge traffic numbers or generating tons of
new clients. There are people who do not read blogs or watch
YouTube videos, preferring podcasts as a way to consume content
and over time some of these people will become your clients.
But to set realistic expectations, if counting numbers are your
goal for podcasting, you will mostly likely be dissatisfied
with the result.
Additionally, podcasting puts us on display and in a very vulnerable
situation. As a podcaster we must be able to translate our enthusiasm
and command for a topic through the microphone. If we do not
have the personality or disposition for podcasting we can damage
your brand. Just as podcasting can build deep, rich relationships
with our audience, it can just as easily destroy our authority
if we sound horrible.

Podcasters
Raise $41,000 to Defend From Patent
Podcasters around the world have united, rallying around
a pretty important cause: saving podcasting as we know it.
The threats not that far off, thanks to a company called Personal
Audio, which claims it created the very notion of a podcast.
It is commonly accused of being a patent troll, meaning
it patents an already existing technology or tries to patent
with vague language, then creates a business model on demanding
money from those who use that technology.

Many DJs think they need to be a celebrity, have a label,

Learn
About Branding
Branding is much more complex than one might first imagine.
It can even be considered both an art and a science. The objective
of effective branding is to evoke in consumers a certain emotion
when they see a name brand or an image associated with that
